Cinnamon bread



 This cinnamon sugar bread is simple, sweet and super easy. It's great for breakfast and I love giving it to friends and family during the holidays.😋

Ingredients


1 tablespoon butter

1 1/3 cup sugar

4 teaspoons of cinnamon

2 cups flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 egg

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1/3 cup canola oil


Instructions


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9x5x3' baking dish with 1 tablespoon butter and set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk together 1/3 cup sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon and set aside.


In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, remaining 1 teaspoon cinnamon and remaining 1 cup sugar. Sift to combine.

In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil and vanilla extract. Stir in flour mixture by hand until combined.


Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the cinnamon and sugar mixture.


Add the remaining batter and use a butter knife to mix the batter. Then top with the rest of the cinnamon and sugar mixture.


Place in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.


Let the pan cool on a cooling rack for 10 minutes. 


Remove the loaf from the pan and place on a large plate. The cinnamon and melted sugar will come off on the plate. 


Gently press all sides of the loaf onto the cinnamon and sugar that will come off on the plate. Cut into slices and serve.
